I’ve been running the beta version of Windows 7 for the past couple of days and I am really happy with the way the new UI modifications look. For one, you will no longer have a cluttered taskbar and the UI looks and feels much snappier than any earlier version of windows.

The install was easy and I basically had my existing Vista installation upgraded to 7. The beta is currently under a 30 day trial-period and I’m already looking for ways to get a serial number and retain this beta install until the final release early next year. An added bonus was that, the upgrade did not break any of my existing programs and I have had no compatibility issues, except for Google Chrome which refuses to work!

I wish I had a touchscreen monitor to experience the touch features but I am happy so far. It’s really awesome and I think you should definitely check it out. Follow the download link here -

Edit : I like the new UAC settings as well…much less annoying!

I love Germans..

or to be more specific, I love their cars. To be even more specific, I like BMWs.

Yesterday, I drove my uncle’s turbo-charged BMW 335Ci to meet a friend in Virginia. I didn’t get to test the car much on the capital beltway or the Dulles toll road, but I eventually got to drive on Route 7 which is dotted with traffic lights every few miles and a speed limit of 55mph. My favorite part was going from 0-55 mph the moment the lights turned green and feel the adrenaline rush inside.

This was one of the few times that I didn’t miss a stick shift while driving a car :) I’m pretty sure I still have some adrenaline left from last night. I (heart) BMW
