The internet is overloaded with articles on the iPad today and I figured that I might as well add to the frenzy. First of all, I think that it is pretty slick looking device and all that jazz. What I fail to understand is what this device’s target audience is.

> its not as portable as an iPhone or an iTouch

> it has a couple of more hours of battery like than a macbook pro

> it doesn’t fit in your pocket

> a fingerprint magnet

> an awkward touch keyboard

> its a backlit reader that hardly lasts 10hrs

> it can handle some games that look decent…but nowhere close to what gaming consoles/pc’s offer today

> its 3G ‘unlocked’ but no one else other than at&t operate on the 3g band that it works on

And well, you get the idea. I am tempted write this one off but I know that Apple has a niche market that would buy anything that they come out with. Although the inner gadget freak in me wants one, I’m pretty sure that it would be sitting in shelf within a couple of months. I’m done whining. Good luck Apple.

Now, I can go back to watching the State of the Union address from earlier today…
