more random

I made some pulao and dal today for a couple of friends who came over. The rice turned out to be much soggier than before and the only change I made was to simmer the rice than to boil it. Hmm…lesson learnt but it still tasted good, or so they said.

I might have also helped in making a drug deal (close to campus) today as well(while trying to be a good samaritan). A guy approached me asking if he could borrow my phone to make a call, I agreed, he dialed, never spoke and a few seconds later, a black car with tinted windows pulls up, the gets in and the car leaves. Interesting… I just hope the DEA doesn’t come after me in a few days :)

I watched Quantum of Solace as part of my movie-catchup-marathon today. Lame is a word that can describe the storyline. Definitely not worth spending any money on it. Watching Transporter 3 as I type this out and I’ve already lost interest. I think I might be getting old or that my taste in movies is improving.

Movies

I’ve started catching up on movies now. Watched a couple today and ‘Eagle Eye’ was one of the. This movie definitely rocked, except for the lame ending. This film is all about NSA, DoD, CIA (and gadgets) and eventually ends with the power of a good old fashioned weapon. a crowbar/baton. I wish the script writers had made a few changes to the ending.. happy ending does not always imply a powerful ending.

I’m done ranting for the night. Its 2AM and am wide awake!

Awesomealicious

Well this post has nothing to do with its title. I just made up a word for the lack of a title.

This past week has been really crazy with all my finals exams and such. I refuse to look back but looking forward, I only have 2 more quarters left in college and am already nostalgic :(

I’ve started catching up on all the movies that I missed out and watch 3:10 to Yuma and would highly recommend it. Watching Talladega Nights for the millionth time and loving it.

On a side note, Wordpress just came out with their latest version and I have mixed feelings about it.

I have random things in my head at the moment. Peace.

Indiana Jones and the curse of the zZz…

It’s a friday, which meant I only had 2 classes. I came home, had lunch and decided to watch the latest Indiana Jones movie. I started the movie, fell asleep after 10 minutes, woke up an hour and a half later and didn’t feel like I missed any part of it. In fact, I’m glad I fell asleep because I’m pretty sure I would have given up a few minutes later. On the other hand, I would definitely recommend ‘The Happening’ to anyone who likes Shyamalan’s movies.

I got a ton of work to do this weekend..hmmmpphhh:(

Movies

Some people like to read books when they have nothing else to do, some like to sleep, some like to run, some don’t have any free time. I like to watch random movies when I am bored and today I stumbled upon one of the funniest movies this summer. ‘Get Smart’ is highly recommended for anyone who has about 2 hours to spare and wants to have a good time.

The next movie that I am waiting for is close to some questions and thoughts in my head. It’s called ‘Religulous’ -

um, make that 4 in a row

Just added 2 more movies to the list of crappy movies that I’ve watched in a row. Hancock and Big Lebowski suck as well. Not as bad the first two, but after watching The Dark Knight, everything else seems so silly these days.

I hope Step Brothers and Pineapple Express live up to their hype.

Bugs & Allergies

I’ve been suffering from some kind of allergy over the past couple of days. My hands looked like a million bugs had a feast, my fingers were swollen and I had no idea what I was allergic to.

Well, turns out that there’s some kind of fungus/bed bug on my chair that was causing allergic reaction on my hands and legs. The chair is in a quarantine and I’m free from bug bites (yay!). Now, I’ll have to figure out on how to dispose the chair without burning it down, like I would do it in the motherland. This weekend’s been eventful so far with farewell parties, canoeing, hiking and watching classic timeless movies like Van Wilder for the millionth time. Life is great! :)

In other news, Frank Caliendo does the best Bush impersonation ever! Here’s a commercial for Dish DVR -
